How disciplined are you?

I have always observed that each of my day is different. Not because of the different types of task I have but it is related to my attitude. Attitude determines how our day is going to be every time. I am a morning person or more to say, I perform better if I wake up early and sharpen my mind with right thoughts. If I am late to bed the previous night and wake up late, I do not get the time to sit and think on various things I need to do and time to read a book or listen to a talk.

I am working from my home for last 2 years now. In fact, I did that few years back too. Having an home office is a blessing and a curse. It is a curse if you do not understand and turn the weakness to your advantage. I work a lot on computers. This means I am have physical activities and less interaction with people face to face. I can sit in bed and work and in my pajamas. No one knows who I am and how I look like.

My parents and  friends I know have gone to office to work. I had worked in office space for a long time. The morning routine and discipline we get is external and not out own. How we operate on a weekend and holidays are totally different than a working day. discipline, according to me has to be internal and need not have a specific format. High achievers can be a night owl or early birds, either they follow some rules or break all rules to achieve new heights. It is all the internal drive of desire, decision, discipline and determination that makes them successful in what they do.

All the D's determine once success. I started to measure my personal success with my discipline and determination. If I notice I am not doing the right things that helps me to achieve my goals, it shows up in my discipline scale. I am either not strong on my desire or not determined to work towards it. We hear the statement "It is all about winning the day" and never to focus on what mistakes we did in the past or worry about the future. To be disciplined is tied to the attitude we carry. How strong are the dreams and goals? Are we willing to take charge to achieve it? Are we ready to face the challenges? Are we ready to win the day? This keeps us happy.

My day starts with these thoughts and discipline myself to do the right things that gives me success. It becomes an internal decision to succeed. I feel disciplined to perform the tasks with no external force and determine to succeed.

Success only comes to people who have the desire and decide to achieve the goals and never stop doing right things again and again.

Home Work

My home in Madras was my grandfather's. I could say my home is 'open house'. Anyone looking the house from outside can tell how many doors and windows the house have. It is a two floor house with an open passage in between and rooms on the either side. The staircase to the first floor 2 rooms is outside. If my mother was asked to manage the house, she will be having 9 to 10 keys with her. Not the locker keys but the door keys. That is not the case. My grandfather is the 'key man' and he kept the keys near the window which anyone can take. I am not going to tell more on this, my actual story is below. My story goes back to 4th or 5 th standard. One of the doors in the house lead to 'dinning hall' because it had the dinning table. This is a place where I put all my books around and do my home work. What is that home work. I never understood anything. I was asked to copy whatever is there in the book to my note. Actually, I was writing a new book. My sister is ...
